Start with a quote for your family
The cost of childcare is an important part of choosing a centre. Contact our Austral, Rossmore or Thirlmere team for current daily fees, available days and the arrangements that apply to your child. We do not publish a single fee because your final cost needs to reflect your booking and any subsidy you receive.
When you enquire, share your child’s age, preferred start date, centre and care days. If you already receive CCS, have your current assessment available for the fee discussion. Our team can explain the centre’s fees; Services Australia decides your subsidy entitlement.
Ask for the full picture
- The fee and session length for your proposed booking.
- What is included and whether any additional charges apply.
- How fees apply to absences, public holidays or changes in booked days.
- Payment arrangements and the notice needed to change or end an enrolment.
What is included at Little Learners?
At our three centres, meals and snacks, nappies, wipes and sunscreen are included. These everyday essentials sit alongside our play-based early learning curriculum, indoor and outdoor experiences, and daily family updates through OWNA.
Before starting, talk with the Director about allergies, dietary requirements, your child’s routines and anything you need to bring from home. Our starting childcare guide helps you prepare those questions.
How Child Care Subsidy works
Child Care Subsidy, often called CCS, is Australian Government assistance with the cost of approved childcare for eligible families. It is generally paid to the provider and applied to reduce your fees. The amount your family receives depends on your circumstances.
The subsidy percentage is not a guarantee that the same percentage of every daily fee will be covered. Your assessment, subsidised hours, session fees and the applicable hourly rate cap can affect your out-of-pocket cost. Ask for an estimate based on your actual booking and check it against your Services Australia assessment.
Use the current CCS eligibility information and guide to how much you can get for rules and rates that apply to your family.
Apply, then confirm your enrolment
- Check your eligibility and make a claim. Follow Services Australia’s CCS claim steps before your child starts where possible.
- Complete the centre’s enrolment process. Agree on your care sessions and fees. The person claiming CCS needs to be the person entering the Complying Written Arrangement with the service.
- Confirm the enrolment details. When the centre submits the enrolment, check that the details in Centrelink match your agreement. CCS can be paid once your claim is approved and the enrolment is confirmed.
- Keep your information current. Check your assessment and let Services Australia know about relevant changes to your family’s circumstances.
Read the official enrolment confirmation guide if the details are missing or do not match. Your centre can help with its enrolment information.
Compare the care as well as the cost
A tour helps you understand what a fee includes in practice. Notice how educators respond to children, ask about the daily rhythm and look at the spaces your child will use. Compare the same number of days and session lengths when considering different options.
Registering interest is a useful first step, but it does not confirm a place or a subsidy amount. The centre will discuss availability and the next steps with you.
Common questions
Can you tell me my exact out-of-pocket fee?
Contact your preferred centre for a current quote. Share your intended booking and, if applicable, your CCS assessment so the team can explain an estimate. Your final subsidy depends on Services Australia’s assessment and the care used.
Does an enquiry apply for CCS?
No. Registering interest with Little Learners and claiming CCS with Services Australia are separate steps.
What about the four weeks free offer?
Ask the centre to explain the current offer’s eligibility, timing and how it applies to your fees. Read the offer terms before agreeing to an enrolment; the promotion does not replace your CCS assessment.
